Market Talk
Hey now, did you all watch the town halls between Trump and Biden? Did you notice a difference between moderators? Joe Biden was coddled with armchair style quiet questions. Meanwhile, a shill for the liberal left named Savanna bitterly interrupted Trump with 43 questions to ten questions that the public got to ask.
"They" clearly used Savanna to set up Trump for a hard time. But, Trump politely answered the questions with style and provided real insight in his replies. The audience seemed to be on Trump's side and man - did Savanna look nastily aggressive. Is that the role a moderator should take in such a format? It was like she decided to be a force to represent hatred that the liberal left exudes. But Trump won over the crowd and took the evening. Even one lady who at first came on with the preface that she did NOT vote for Trump last time, ended with complementing on his his "wonderful smile".
Yes, the polls present the view that Joe Biden is leading by a fairly large margin. I do not totally believe that the smart people of this great country really want to be governed by liberal socialists that want to sell out America to gain a one party Democrat system. I sure do NOT. I speak as staunch INDEPENDENT.
Stock Talk
Sometimes when in a stock that you think is a going to bring something that makes a big difference to the world and will be nicely rewarded, it can get tough.
The lines between forward projections, belief, hope and the present and the future can get hazy in the face of doubters and short seller hedge funds backed by paid short analysts. Indeed, it's not always an easy way while we wait for actual results and catalysts to happen that will answer the negative Nancy's betting on failure.
With the above, these are the main near-term catalysts and reasons I am in some of the following to see if they will happen.
- Inovio (INO) - waiting on the FDA hold of C19 vaccine INO4800 due to their questions on the device called Cellectra to administer the vaccine. This device has been used many times in previous trials and led to a successful outcome with EUA approval of their Mers vaccine INO4700 in S. Korea. Both C19 and Mers are a similar Sars virus. I suspect the Inovio replies to the FDA were submitted. I am waiting for the hold on Phase 2/3 of INO4800 to be lifted. While the FDA has 30 days to reply it could be sooner. My hope is that the FDA reply favorably at any moment or day considering that other widely touted vaccines from big Pharma are fledgling and held with Adverse Effects. I still believe that Inovio's INO4800 may be the safest and most effective against C19 and variants. I am basing this view on the DNA vaccine providing a more balanced natural protection with both neutralizing antibodies and targeted T- fighter cells of the immune system.
- Sorrento (SRNE) - waiting on the imminent C19 patients in hospitals to receive the Phase 1 antibody STI 1499 in a one or two shot and recover quickly from C19. I am waiting for these people to walk out of the hospital talking about the Sorrento shot that made them feel better!
- Yamana Gold (AUY) - I feel with Gold and silver at these ranges and higher and Yamana performing well with increasing production and pricing - that AUY will trend higher out of the current trading range around $6. Yamana recently raised the dividend and is on track for out performing the overall market. When I lose faith in some stocks like I did on Vaxart, I am tending to put some of that sale proceeds into AUY and $ cost average into the less volatile Gold and silver miner "to see". I think AUY is a good bet or investment to be in some.
So does the above make me a trader or a long? It all depends on if the things I am looking for happen as they are all near-term events that yet need to play out soon. I'd say I am a near term "long" to see. And "if" the near-term catalysts work out, each has a strong pipeline to become a true long in some..
