Green light on for KTOS - Prime $1.4 Billion to lead Hypersonics

 Stock Talk

Stock of the day: Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (KTOS)

 Kratos Receives $1.45B MACH-TB 2.0 Contract Award

KTOS : After today's announcement of the hypersonic prime contract, our buying of 5 or 10 shares in  a dollar cost average basis here seems like a good move.  America's defense capability to keep with our adversaries is in the balance.  KTOS is also developing military drone systems and satellite communication systems. It seems an important mission to produce drones that can accompany fighter jets in mission critical tasks.  Elon Musk on the doge team seems to think so.  The Jones view here is KTOS just made a huge step up in status as a defense contractor.  green light to add some more KTOS in the 20's in a continued $ cost average mode. Note: as investors start getting "the flick" that KTOS is the real deal stengthening the US defense capability,  the Jones view is higher share prices will follow.  The sleeping market has not yet waken up to major awareness of the need for American hypersonic defense and task force Fighter jet level drone development.  Here at the Jones report, we keep KTOS on the watch / buy some list  and suspect higher stock values into the 30's and 40's may be coming.

Another Stock of the day:   Nvidia (NVDA)

NVDA is in play as traders and investors return to what they believe is a stalwart of the AI world with their advanced GPU processors.  Here is one way to look at the NVDA situation.  The Blackwell is the code name for its next gen GPU architecture succeeding the Hopper architecture.  Previously, there were several reports such as in Reuters stating that NVDA Blackwell chips are over heating in field use.  There were reports of the way wafers are attached in parallel with a glue causing over heating.  On the other hand, reports say that data centers are adjusting to the over heating by cooling methods. Further, reports say the Blackwell demand remains high.

Exactly how this would affect Blackwell orders is seeming to NOT be an issue because demand still exceeds supply as a prevailing view.  Here, we stay reserved until earnings are actually reported.  However, earnings will not be out until later in February.

It seems that Feb 26 is long enough away that for now - NVDA stock is surging into the $140's and it may just continue as traders and investors flock back to the stalwart of current AI processing in servers at data centers. It would not be too surprising here to see NVDA continue to surge higher past the $150 mark.

Right now, the prevailing belief seems to be that NVDA sales are hot for the new Blackwell.

If you dare ... Stay tuned and aware  ....

For now, we close by noting that any view on the market and stocks on any particular day may change in the future days to come. That is why we watch and see how our views match up with the reality of the time.  But trying to look ahead a few months into the future may be a way to do things.  If you think too deep about world events and the recent alliances forming, projecting ahead can be a dicey endeavor.  In all -  we use the word maybe "some", not "too much" and play it accordingly.  Remember, never get arrogant in our various notions because things do change in the market and individual stocks are subject to many factors outside of our control.. So we try to -stay aware.

With all the above caveats and attempted prognostications, I will close this post. Stay tuned for more opining on the market and stocks to watch.
